I just spent some time with a friend, who told me of a conversation she had with her friend, who thinks he’s a god. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve heard such nonsense. The Silicon Valley is full of people who think that.

But here is a good look at what Scripture says in Romans 1:18-19: The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

And such is the result of people who are not thankful to God but think themselves to be a god:

Romans 1:21-22: For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.
